Tiergarten is not a classic party district but a strip of single, very different addresses. On Potsdamer Straße: Surprise Club with afrobeats, reggae and international sounds in an open, inclusive atmosphere, Victoria Bar as one of the city's most renowned cocktail bars, and Tiger Bar. On Lützowstraße, Kumpelnest 3000, the loud institution of wild Berlin nightlife in a former brothel. Near the Zoo: 808 Berlin with an electronic programme on Budapester Straße. Then Tipi am Kanzleramt for shows and Schleusenkrug as a beer garden on the Landwehrkanal.
Potsdamer Straße and Lützowplatz are reached via U1 Kurfürstenstraße or Nollendorfplatz, Budapester Straße via Zoologischer Garten (S-Bahn, U2, U9). Between the addresses lie housing blocks, embassies and the park; at night this is not a district for drifting, so better head out with a plan.
